As part of the amendment to the structure plan to designate 17 areas suitable for wind farms, the canton of St. Gallen organised four successful information and dialogue events for the population at the end of April 2023.

The events took place in Altstätten, Rapperswil-Jona, Wil and Sargans. They were aimed at informing the population about wind energy and the suitability areas within the framework of the structure plan adaptation, clarifying open questions and receiving the concerns of the population.

Risk Dialogue organised, coordinated and moderated the information and dialogue events between the canton and the population. The format consisted of five stations, each with different topics, information, dialogue and question opportunities. The visitors could choose three of them for a half-hour exchange each. Risk Dialogue also recorded feedback and suggestions.
