3D Printing Learning Expedition

Industrial prototypes, personal design pieces, food, individualised prostheses and even human organs – there are no limits to the possibilities of 3D printing. But what risks does the technology pose and where is it being used?

On 27 August 2014, the Learning Expedition on the topic of “3D Printing: Revolution in Technology, Law and Medicine?” was organised by the Risk Dialogue Foundation in cooperation with the Centre for Technology Assessment (TA-SWISS) and tackled this topic. Experts from science and practice presented the latest developments in technology to the audience and discussed related questions of law and ethics. In the panel discussion, they also answered numerous questions from the audience.
